Description
Issued on 25 January 2025 at 4:00 AM, cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to Easterlies may have brought possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains in Caraga, Davao Region, and SOCCSKSARGEN.
On the same day, moderate to heavy rainfall was experienced in several barangays in Maitum, Sarangani which caused flash flood incident. Relative to the incident, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through its Field Office in Region XII, has actively engaged in the response operation and maintained continuous coordination with the Local Government Unit of Maitum, Sarangani to manage the needs of displaced families and individuals, provide timely updates, and address potential requests for relief augmentation.
