Description
Issued on 01 August 2026 at 4AM, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain
showers or thunderstorms may have brought flash floods or landslides during severe
thunderstorms in Metro Manila and the rest of the country due to localized
thunderstorms.
On the same day, from 3PM to 7PM, continuous moderate to heavy rainfall brought
about by localized thunderstorms caused flooding in several low-lying barangays in
Datu Salibo and General Salipada K. Pendatun in Maguindanao del Sur.
In response, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through
its Field Office (FO) XII, in close coordination with the affected Local Government
Units (LGUs) in Maguindanao del Sur, immediately provided relief assistance to
address the immediate needs of the affected families and individuals.
