Description
On 03 May 2026, sustained rainfall brought about by Easterlies caused flooding in
two low-lying barangays in Northern Kabuntalan, Maguindanao del Norte. The
incident rapidly escalated as continuous precipitation caused the Libungan River to
overflow.
In response, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through
its Field Office (FO) XII, is in close coordination with the Local Government Unit
(LGU) of Northern Kabuntalan, Maguindanao del Norte, for significant updates and
any requests for relief augmentation.
