Description
Issued on 16 December 2025 at 4:00 AM, cloudy skies with scattered rains or
thunderstorms may have caused possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate
to at times heavy rains caused by Easterlies in Bicol Region, Caraga, Davao Region,
Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, and Southern Leyte.
On the same day at around 2:00 PM, continuous heavy rainfall brought by the
Easterlies caused flooding in low-lying and flood-prone areas in the municipality of
Caraga, Davao Oriental.
In response, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through
its Field Office (FO) XI, is coordinating with the affected Local Government Units
(LGUs) to assess the needs of the affected families and individuals.
