Description

Issued on 23 January 2026 at 4:00 AM, cloudy skies with light rains caused by

Northeast Monsoon affecting Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region, Easterrn Visasyas,

Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, Apayao, Ifugao, Kalinga, Mountain

Province, Aurora, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Metro Manila and the rest of the

country.

On the same day, continuous heavy rainfall in coastal and low-lying areas, resulting

in tidal waves that caused rough sea conditions and localized flooding in several

barangays in the municipalities of Malita and Don Marcelino, Davao Occidental.

In response, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through

its Field Office (FO) XI, continuously monitors and coordinates with the affected

Local Government Units (LGUs) to assess the needs of the affected families and

individuals.
