Description
On 09 March 2026, Visayas, Mindanao, Masbate, and Palawan experienced cloudy
skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms.These conditions posed risks of
possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
On the same day, Brgy. Sacub and Poblacion experienced flooding due to continued
rainfall and overflowing waterways caused by Low Pressure Area (LPA)
In response, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through
its Field Office (FO) XI, in close coordination with the Local Government Unit (LGU)
of Davao del Sur, is continuously coordinating the provision of relief assistance to
address the immediate needs of the affected families and individuals.
