The effects of LPA/ Shearline in BARMM

At 9:45 PM on 10 January 2023, heavy rainfall was observed in Basilan Province due to the LPA. The weather condition persisted throughout the night until 11 January 2023. Areas near riverbanks and watercourses in Isabela City, especially in Brgy. Baluno, Tabaiwan/Burukan, Makiri, Kumalarang, Maligue, Timpul, Riverside Sumagdang, Cabunbata, and Aguada experienced flooding in the low-lying areas. Meanwhile, in Maluso Municipality, damaged properties were also reported in Brgy. Shipyard Main, Tamuk and Fuente. Lamitan City also experienced flooding in Brgy. Limook, Matibay and Sengal. Forced Evacuation in the said Barangays was conducted.

- Lamitan City a total of 1,478 affected Families.
- Sumisip a total of 23 affected Families.
- Maluso a total of 23 affected Families.
A total of 1,524 Families are affected.
