On 8 January 2025, the Shear Line affects the eastern sections of Southern Luzon and
Visayas. Northeast Monsoon affects Northern and Central Luzon.
The following were the weather forecast and advisories in regards with the effects of
Shear Line.
Forecast: The Visayas, Bicol Region, Quezon Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan and
Dinagat Islands will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due
to Shear Line.
Weather System: Shear Line
Light to moderate with at times heavy rains are expected over Negros Occidental (San
Carlos City and Calatrava), Iloilo (Lemery, Sara Concepcion, San Dionisio, Batad,
Balasan, Carles, and Estancia), and nearby areas within 1 to 2 hours.
The above conditions are being experienced in Biliran, Leyte (Calubian, San Isidro,
Tabango, Leyte, Capoocan, Carigara, Barugo, Babatngon, San Miguel, Tacloban City,
Alangalang, Tunga, Villaba, Kananga, and Jaro), Siquijor (San Juan, Siquijor, Larena,
Enrique Villanueva, Maria, and Lazi), Negros Occidental (Silay City, E. B. Magalona,
Victorias City, Manapla, and Cadiz City).
