Description

At 10:00 AM, 04 January 2023, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 300 KM south southwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan (7.2°N, 117.8°E). Meanwhile, another Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 285 KM East Northeast off Surigao City, Surigao Del Norte (10.4°N, 128.0°E). These weather disturbances remain less likely to develop into tropical depressions within the next 24 hours. The LPA brought light to moderate with occasional heavy rains in the region.

At 5:00 AM, 04 January 2023, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 405 km Southwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan (7.1 °N, 116.2°E). Another Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 205 km Northeast of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte or 419 km Southeast of Legazpi City, Albay (11.0 °N, 126.9 °E). Northeast Monsoon affecting Luzon.
