Description
On 30 June 2018, at around 11:00 PM, a flashflood incident occurred in Kabacan, North Cotabato, as reported by Philippines Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). The creek and irrigation canal overflowed due to heavy rainfall, which resulted to the displacement of families and individuals. In total, 2,017 families or 8,068 persons were affected by the flashflood in Kabacan, North Cotabat. Those affected were also displaced and reported to be evacuated to their families / friends (outside of evacuation centers). A total of ₱493,158.00 worth of assistance has been provided to the affected families; of which, ₱320,040.00 was provided by DSWD and ₱173,118.00 was provided by the local government units.
