Description
On 21 July 2023, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services
Administration (PAGASA) local weather forecast advisory indicated that Northern
Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or
thunderstorms due to Southwest Monsoon / Localized Thunderstorms and will bring
light to moderate winds from southwest to west with slight to moderate seas. This
weather condition may have caused possible flash floods or landslides.
On the same day, the City of Cagayan de Oro and the Municipality of Tagoloan in
Misamis Oriental experienced flash floods prompting forced evacuation in the affected
areas.
