Heavy rainfall has been affecting eastern Malaysia (in particular the Sabah State) since 27 June, triggering floods and causing damage. Media report, as of 1 July, around 1,100 evacuated people, of which 634 in Tenom District, 323 in Kota Belud District, 62 in Papar District, 49 in Beaufort District, and 19 in Penampang District. Throughout the State, 152 villages across 11 Districts were reported affected.
