Flooding event occurred in State of Pahang, affecting towns of Pekan and Rompin since 9 January 2018. As of 11 January 2018, National Disaster Management Agency of Malaysia (NADMA) reported 1015 persons (246 families) still affected and evacuated to 7 evacuation centers in Pekan town. In Rompin town, 63 people evacuated to SK KG Tekek in Pulau Tioman. NADMA is currently coordinating support for evacuees and provides near-real time information from evacuation centers.
