National Disaster Management Agency of Malaysia (NADMA) reported significant flooding in Johor, which started on 1 January 2018 20:15 local time. Two municipalities are affected namely Segamat and Mersing. As of 5 January 2018, 262 people (76 families) are affected and being evacuated to five evacuation centers in two affected municipalities. NADMA and InfoBanjir Malaysia provide near-real time status of affected people and evacuation centers.
