Description
Flooding across five provinces (Xayaburi, Luang Prabang, Ouxomxay, Houaphanh and Bokeo) in Lao PDR has affected at least 5,000 people with one death reported in Luang Prabang as of 17 August. The Xayaburi District Disaster Prevention and Control Committee has distributed rice and drinking water and provided mobile health services. (OCHA, 22 Aug 2016)
