Description
Flooding due to Tropical Storm SINLAKU has reportedly affected multiple districts in Xayaboury and Viengchan province in Lao PDR. Province: Xayaboury Districts: -Kaenthao 2 bridges broken -Xaysathan 2 villages, 20 families, landslide affected roads in 7 places. -Khorp 10 villages, 141 families, 216 people, 34.4 ha of paddy fields -Phieng 18 villages, 581 families, 3,569 people, 186.14 ha of paddy fields -Thongmixay 10 villages, 189 families, 931 people -Ngeun 3 villages, 52 families, 260 people -Bortaen 11 villages, 757 families, 3785 People -Xayaboury 30 villages, 889 families, 187.34 ha of paddy fields, 11 houses partly damaged Province: Viengchan Districts: -Kasi 27 villages, 537 families, 3406 people, 448,6 ha of paddy fields -Sanakham (successfully been resolved) -Vungvieng (landslide successfully been resolved) GRAND TOTAL: 111 villages 3,166 families 12,167 people (5833 are female) 26,592,600,000 LAK / 2924787.11 USD in damages Source: Mr. Ting, LAO EOC
