Spokeperson of Indonesian Disaster Management Authority (BNPB) has reported on wild fire in Mount Sumbing and Sindoro, Central Java on 11 September until present. In total, 501 hectare of areas in Mount Sindoro and 621 hectare in Mount Sumbing were burned down. Dry season has caused the fire spread faster and made fire fighting effort difficult. Hiking trails have been closed and a total of 516 hikers have been evacuated.
