Description
Local Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Manggarai Regency and Ministry of Health reported a strong wind causing light-to-moderate destruction in Ruteng District, Manggarai Regency, on 11 September 2018. A total of 28 people were displaced, with more than 150 people affected. The main hospital (RSUD) of Manggarai were damaged and its patients have to be temporarily evacuated. A house in Ruteng District was totally destroyed. There were no fatalities and casualties due to this incident. Initial report suggets the damage and losses may accounted for around IDR 200 million. Within 10 hours from the strong wind, RSUD Manggarai have been fully repaired and admitting patients again.
