Indonesia, Storms and Winds in Pangandaran and Ciamis (West Java)

Extreme weather also affected two sub-districts in Pangandaran Regency, West Java, on Monday (2 March). A total of 24 houses were reported damaged, and several trees were uprooted.

On Wednesday (4 March), the Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah, together with joint response teams, conducted debris clearance of fallen trees and coordinated with relevant cross-sectoral agencies to support the repair of affected houses.

Heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds also occurred in Ciamis Regency, West Java, on Wednesday (4 March). The incident caused fallen trees that struck residential rooftops.

A total of 14 houses sustained minor damage, along with three public facilities and one business affected. Additionally, 11 people temporarily evacuated to the homes of nearby relatives.

The Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah Kabupaten Ciamis carried out debris clearance of fallen trees and worked together with local residents to repair the damaged houses.
