Description

Floods occurred in Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi, on Thursday (10/4). The flood occurred due to the overflowing of the Noling River due to an increase in water discharge caused by high-intensity rain. At least three villages and two sub-districts in Ponrang District were affected by flooding with water levels ranging from 30 to 50 centimeters.

A total of 600 families were affected by the flood in Luwu Regency and two families or seven people took refuge in evacuation posts that had been created by the local BPBD. In addition to establishing evacuation posts, BPBD has also evacuated affected residents and school students because there were five educational facilities affected.
