Description
670 people were affected by flooding in Bogor Regency, West Java Province, on Saturday (12/4) at 21.25 WIB. This incident was triggered by high intensity rain that lasted quite a long time, causing the flow of the Pelayangan River to overflow and cause flooding.
This incident submerged two villages in Bojong Gede District, namely Rawa Panjang Village and Pabuaran Village, based on data received by the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), it was reported that 670 people and 213 houses were affected.
The Bogor Regency BPBD together with a joint team immediately went to the location to carry out emergency response steps, efforts to accelerate handling were also carried out by coordinating between agencies.
The current conditions in the flood-affected areas are reported to be that the water is gradually starting to recede and residents are working together to clean their houses and surroundings from flood material on Sunday (13/4).
BNPB appeals to the public to increase preparedness and vigilance in anticipating the threat of potential risks of wet hydrometeorological disasters. Immediately carry out independent evacuation to a safer place if heavy rain occurs for more than an hour and visibility is less than 100 meters. Local governments are asked to immediately check the readiness of devices, personnel, and resources to deal with potential emergencies.
The public is expected to always follow government directions and not be influenced by irresponsible issues.
