➢ Chronology: Triggered by heavy rainfall, a flash flood affected residential areas on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 4:00 PM WITA, with a water level of approximately 1 meter.
➢ Location: (1 Subdistrict / 2 Villages)
● Empang District
- Gapit Village
- Sepayung Village
➢ Fatalities:
● Approximately 100 families / 300 people affected (data collection still underway), with the following details:
- Gapit Village: 75 families / 225 people
- Sepayung Village: 25 families / 75 people
➢ Material Losses:
● 15 low-income housing units (data collection)
➢ Efforts:
● The NTB Provincial BPBD coordinated with the Sumbawa Regency BPBD. Sumbawa and relevant stakeholders.
● The Sumbawa Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) conducted an assessment of the impact of the disaster at the location of the incident.
● The Sumbawa Regency BPBD reported and disseminated the impact of the disaster.
