Floods in Kab. Seruyan, Prov. Central Kalimantan Update: Tuesday, 15 September 2020, 18:31 WIB JAKARTA - Floods still commemorate several sub-districts in Central Kalimantan Province. Eight sub-districts are still inundated with various water levels, while the flood in Suling Tambun District has receded, based on the latest developments today, Tuesday (15/9), at 12.00 WIB. The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Seruyan Regency informed that other sub-districts were still submerged with water levels of 100 to 200 cm. Based on BPBD monitoring, the flood that inundated Tumbang Langkai Village in Suling Tambun District has receded. BPBD also informed the weather today, Tuesday (15/9), this morning was sunny and cloudy. The impact of the flood that occurred last Monday (7/9) resulted in more than 4,000 households being affected. BPBD data recorded 4,509 families or 16,459 people affected. They fled independently. While the material losses, as many as more than 4,000 houses were affected. The affected houses were identified in nine sub-districts, namely Seruyan Tengah, Batu Ampar, Antang Kalang, Marikit, Mentaya Hulu, Seruyan Hulu, Suling Tambun, Manjul and Danau Seluluk. The emergency response efforts that have been carried out by BPBD are coordinating with the sub-district head, local police chief, conducting field checks and urging the public to be vigilant about securing their belongings if at any time the water debit rises and prepares refugee places in mosques and terminals. In addition, the Seruyan Regency BPBD TRC together with the Manjul Sub-district Head distributed assistance in the form of logistics to affected victims.
