in Semarang City on Wednesday (4 March). A river embankment collapsed due to overflow triggered by heavy rainfall, resulting in flooding that affected 40 houses and one Islamic boarding school (pesantren) in Mangkang Kulon Urban Village, Tugu Sub-district.
The Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah, together with joint response teams and local residents, conducted community clean-up efforts to remove mud and debris carried by the floodwaters.
