Description
POSO - Flash floods hit Lengkeka Village, Poso Regency, Central Sulawesi, Tuesday (3/3) at 15.25 WITA. The incident occurred after heavy rains flushed and caused a flood to fall from the mountainous area carrying wood, stone and mud material. According to data collected by the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Poso District at least 10 houses were washed away, 11 houses were severely damaged and approximately 51 houses were slightly damaged. So far the victim‘ data has been reported to have lost 1 person on behalf of Ibu Bambang, who is suspected to have been swept away and is still being searched by a joint team from the Koramil, Polsek and BPBD. Besides the floods also forced approximately 900 people to flee to the West Lore District office. Until now the joint team continues to conduct evacuation efforts and assist the emergency response process at the scene. While reported obstacles encountered are the difficulty of internet signals at the location so that it impedes the reporting process.
