Chronology: Triggered by very high rainfall that lasted for quite a long time (afternoon to evening), resulting in the Comal river overflowing into the estuary and causing embankments to break and water entering residential areas until flooding occurred on Sunday 04 February 2024 at 23:00 WIB
➢ Location: Ulujami District
• Mojo Village
• Pesantren Village
➢ Casualties:
• ±1,272 families / 11,975 people affected (Still collecting data)
• 10 people displaced
➢ Material Losses:
• 1,272 housing units were submerged
➢ Effort:
• BPBD Pemalang Regency coordinates with volunteer elements and local village officials to collect data and handle (evacuate) residents affected by the flood
• A public kitchen post was established in the Pesantren Village and coordinated by PMI Pemalang Regency
• PMI Pemalang Regency distributed aid in the form of 10 packages of Baby Kits and 20 boxes of instant noodles (10 packages for Pesantren Village & 10 Packages for Mojo Village)
• The Pemalang Regency Agriculture Service distributed aid in the form of 100 kg of rice
• The Pemalang Regency PDI-P Party distributed aid in the form of 2 barrels of eggs & 15 boxes of instant noodles
➢ Obstacles in the Field:
• Road access is long and difficult so a fleet is needed to transport food logistics
➢ Current Conditions:
• Refugees have returned to their homes because the water level has gradually receded
• Water runoff has gradually decreased with an average height of 30 cm. It is feared that conditions in the back/south region will still frequently experience heavy rain
