Description

Coastal Flooding in Pati Regency, Central Java Province

Chronology: On Saturday, 20 June 2026, at 16:25 WIB, rising sea levels and a breach in the coastal embankment in Tayu Sub-district caused coastal flooding (rob) that inundated residential areas. No residents were evacuated; however, the village hall and the village maternity clinic (Polindes) have been prepared as temporary evacuation centres for elderly residents should evacuation become necessary.
