Description
Flooding in North Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province, due to heavy rain that has poured over the area since Wednesday (19/3). The Lalindu River overflowed and submerged settlements, agricultural land, and cut off access to the provincial road connecting Southeast Sulawesi with Central Sulawesi. The affected areas include five sub-districts, namely Asera, Wiwirano, Landawe, Oheo, and Motui. A total of 114 families or 407 people were affected, with damage covering ±114 houses, 72 hectares of agricultural land, 30 hectares of plantation land, and one point on the provincial road that was also submerged. Until Sunday (6/4), flooding occurred again due to high rainfall, causing the Lalindu River to overflow.
