Flooding in Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra Province
➢ Chronology: Triggered by heavy rainfall from Saturday, January 31, 2026, to Sunday, February 1, 2026, in the early hours of approximately 4:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time. Drainage systems were unable to accommodate the volume of rainwater, causing it to overflow onto the roads and inundate residents' homes.

➢ Efforts:
● The Muara Enim Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) conducted field observations in coordination with the local government.
● The Muara Enim Regency BPBD Muara Enim coordinated with the Head of the Muara Enim Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) regarding the impact and efforts.
● The Muara Enim Regency BPBD assisted in the evacuation of affected residents.
● The Muara Enim Regency BPBD conducted data collection and a rapid disaster assessment.
● The Muara Enim Regency BPBD provided outreach to residents to maintain vigilance.

● Decree of the Governor of South Sumatra No. 925/KPTS/BPBD-SS/2025 concerning the Determination of Emergency Alert Status for Floods and Landslides in South Sumatra Province.
