Triggered by heavy rainfall on Sunday (March 15) at around 8:00 p.m. WIB. The floodwaters reached between 30 and 120 centimeters.
The areas affected by this flood include Sumbergirang Village in Puri District, Gayaman Village in Mojoanyar District, Jotangan Village, Kebondalem, and Kedunggempol in Mojosari District.
The flood also affected 175 families or 300 people and 12 of them took refuge at the Tambakrejo Hamlet Hall, although after this news was published the refugees had returned to their respective homes.
The local BPBD also reported material losses due to the flooding, including 125 submerged houses, a 15-meter embankment that broke, 32 hectares of rice fields affected, and village road access that was submerged in floodwater.
In response to this disaster, the East Java Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) together with the Mojokerto Regency BPBD have carried out emergency response at the affected locations, such as evacuating flood-affected residents using fiber boats, providing logistical assistance to residents, and conducting searches and data collection at the affected locations, including turning on water pumps.
