Description

Flooding occurs due to high intensity rain which causes the Deli River, Babura River and Denai River to overflow. The four sub-districts affected by the flood include Medan Johor District, Medan Maimun District, Medan Sunggal District and Medan Tuntung District. As of 22.30 (GMT+7) inudantion level: 30-60cm Based on the analysis through InaRISK, Medan City is one of the areas with a potential flood hazard with moderate to high hazard levels with 21 sub-districts that are potentially affected by this hazard. The public is urged to always be aware of the potential hazards of hydrometeorological disasters such as floods, flash floods, landslides and strong winds.
