Chronology: Due to high and gradual rainfall on Sunday, May 16, 2021 Pkl. 09:00 AM local time, causing the Furu, Kinaye & Mentarang Hulu rivers to overflow

 Total ± 3,975 households affected
 Refugees (still in data collection)

Material Disadvantages:
 3,979 housing units affected
 370 housing units submerged
 1 mess unit washed away
 1 housing unit washed away
 4 dock units washed away
 1 Unit for making drift boats
 30 Ds. Lung Goods washed away
 4 Diesel drum units belonging to the tower were washed away
 1 unit of house RR (kitchen mess housing teachers)
 TMA reaches ± 30-200 cm

Effort :
 BPBD Kab. Malinau coordinates with DESTANA and the District / Village Government to collect data and monitor water discharge / TMA
 BPBD Kab. Malinau appealed to the public to be more vigilant
 BPBD Kab. Malinau helps local residents make pungkau (para-para) to evacuate the belongings of the affected residents
 If the impact of the Flood is getting wider, it will be proposed to the District Government. Malinau through the District BPBD to determine the Flood Disaster Emergency status

Latest condition:
 The water has started to recede
 For communication, the Telkomsel provider network is disconnected, while the 24-hour Indosat Provider network is active
 Some of the affected residents were evacuated to the Church Building (Ds. Lung Simau) and Gd. Lung Barang Junior High School
