Description
In Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi Province, heavy rainfall since the early hours of Tuesday (March 4) has caused flooding in four districts. Rising water levels from the Salu Pareman River and Pompengan River have submerged residential areas, main provincial roads, places of worship, and educational facilities, with water levels ranging from 50 cm to 1 meter.
The Luwu Regency BPBD team has conducted assessments and rapid response evaluations, while the BPBD operations center (Pusdalops BPBD) continues to coordinate with local authorities for emergency response efforts.
As of Tuesday afternoon (March 4), floodwaters have started to recede, and affected residents have begun cleaning their homes.
