Indonesia, Flooding in Kepahiang (Bengkulu)

➢ Chronology: Due to heavy rain with a long duration from 13.00 until now, river water overflowed and flooded residents' houses, on Saturday 10 February 2024.

➢ Location:
● Ujan Mas District
- Black Water Village

➢ Casualties:
● 71 families / 302 people affected

➢ Material Losses:
● 66 housing units affected
● ± 23 Hectares of agricultural land affected
● 1 unit of village maternity center affected
● Water level ± 50 cm

➢ Effort:
● The Kepahiang Regency BPBD TRCD Team received a report from the head of Black Water Village at 20.30 WIB and the BPBD TRC Team went straight to the location to evacuate residents affected by the flood together with the TNI, POLRI, CAMAT, VILLAGE OFFICERS for the time being for the affected residents.
● The Kepahiang Regency BPBD team carried out an assessment and coordinated with related authorities.

➢ Current Conditions:
● For the time being, the water conditions in the field are still submerging houses and some residents have already evacuated and the BPBD, TNI and POLRI TEAM are still standing by at the flood location.
