Floods in Kendari City, Prov. Southeast Sulawesi

Chronology :
• Moderate-high intensity rain for 5 consecutive days from 27 June - 01 July 2021
• The broken embankment and high tides in Kendari Bay are also one of the causes of flooding
• The flood occurred on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at Pkl. 16.00 WITA

Casualty:
• 78 families / 301 people evacuated

Material Losses:
• ± 78 housing units affected
• Flood depth 30-80 cm

Effort :
• Kendari City BPBD conducts a rapid assessment, coordinates with relevant agencies and together with a joint team to evacuate victims
• BPBD has set up field posts, refugee tents and together with a joint team have opened a public kitchen
