Description
Floods in Kab. Katingan, Prov. Central Kalimantan Chronology: • Due to high intensity rain that occurs in the upstream area of the Katingan watershed • Overflow of the Katingan watershed • Floods began to occur on Thursday, 24 September 2020, at Pkl. 21.00 WIB Location: • Kec. Mendawai, Ds. Fallen Moon Fatalities : • ± 34 HHs affected • No victims have been displaced Material Disadvantages: • ± 34 housing units affected • TMA ± 20-50 cm Effort : • TRC BPBD Kab. Katingan conducts rapid assessments and coordinates with relevant agencies • BPBD Kab. Katingan will inspect areas / villages in the Lower River area and appeal to the community to always be aware of floods sent from the Katingan River Basin State of the art: • Currently Pkl. 13.30 WIB, sunny weather • Floods still persist with a TMA 20-50 cm • Floods in all areas of Kab.
