JAKARTA - Floods have still submerged 11 sub-districts from 23 sub-districts in Kapuas Hulu Regency, West Kalimantan, since a week ago, as reported by the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Control and Operation Center (Pusdalops) from the scene, Sunday (20/9).
As for the 11 sub-districts that are still affected by flooding due to the overflow of the Kapuas river, they include Putussibau Utara, Putussibau Selatan, Bika, Kalis, Embaloh Hilir, Bunut Hilir, Jongkong, Selimabu, Suhaid, Semitau and Subdistricts. Silat Hilir.
Meanwhile, the total number of casualties affected by the disaster was recorded at 27,788 families or 98,649 people. Meanwhile, 13,091 housing units were flooded with a TMA of 40-300 centimeters.
Until now, residents have chosen to occupy the upper part of the house, because on average they live in houses on stilts.
