Indonesia, Flooding in Kapuas (Central Kalimantan)

➢ Chronology: Rainfall with high intensity. on Saturday, 9 December 2023, at 1800 WIB

➢ Location:
Mantangai District
● Lapetan Village
● Tumbang Muroi Village
● Tumbang Mangkutup Village

➢ Casualties:
● 724 families / 2,348 people affected

➢ Material Losses:
● 60 housing units were submerged
● 2 Fasdah units were submerged
● 5 Fasdik submerged
● 11 public facilities were submerged
● 12 road access points were submerged

➢ Effort:
● Coordinate with OPD and Related Agencies, District authorities and villages affected by flooding
● Checking flood conditions and collecting data
● Carrying out Coordination Meetings across related Kapuas Regency OPDs Handling of victims affected by flood disasters

➢ Current Conditions:
● Floods in 3 villages in Mantangai District are still submerging public roads with a TMA of 75-110 cm, the water condition decreases by around 10 cm. People activities still normal using canoes/boats motorized and the weather conditions at the location of the incident were still raining low to moderate intensity. Today's report there were no missing, sick/injured victims as a result of this incident
