Description

Heavy rains have caused floods and landslides to hit Jayapura City on February 23, 2019 until 18:00 WITA as follows: 1. Chronology The rain that occurred in the Jayapura City area since Friday, February 22, 2019 at 22.00 WITA until February 23, 2019 at 05.00 WITA resulted in floods and landslides in 3 districts 2. Affected Areas a. Abepura District - Yatefa Market - Organda Complex - Puskopad Furia Complex - Kotaraja Dalam - Kotaraja Autonomous Complex b. Heram District - Perumnas IV - Organda Complex c. South Jayapura District - High School Complex 4 - Thomas Complex - Entrop PTC Complex - Hamadi Complex The flood height varies between 0.5 - 1.5 meters 3. Soul and Damage Victims Affected residents: 1,300 families Wounded Victim / Death: Nil Damage: still data collection 4. Efforts made by the Regional Government a. Local government (BPBD Kota Jayapura) along with the TNI / POLRI evacuated affected residents by alerting 5 rubber boats b. Providing food and health needs services in 4 field posts and evacuation points, namely - Poskopad Furia - Yatefa Market Complex - Organda Complex - High School 4 c. The Mayor of Jayapura has reviewed the affected locations d. The Jayapura City Government does not stipulate Emergency Response status because at present the Emergency status is still an Emergency Transition to Recovery from 8 January 2019 to 8 April 2019 e. The Government of Papua Province through the Papua Province BPBD provides personnel and logistical support in the form of: - 20 family health packages - 50 family kit packages - 18 additional nutritional packages - 5 cartons of large sardines - 3 cardboard tea flags - 2 small cardboard sardines - 2 boxes of salt - 50 packages of food equipment. f. BPBD Kota Jayapura has provided clean water support to affected residents. 5. BNPB's Rapid Reaction Team is in Jayapura. a. Perform emergency handling assistance. b. BNPB provided ready-to-use funds of Rp 250 million to the Mayor of Jayapura. 6. Current conditions - most of the floods have receded, only two locations in Yatefa Market and Organda Complex. 7.
