Description

JAKARTA - The long duration of heavy rain in the Bogor region has caused the Ciliwung River to rise on the night of 04/25/2019. The water level of the Ciliwung River reaches 220-250 centimeters so that the status is Standby1. The rising flow of the Cilwung River has caused flooding of river banks in several areas in Jakarta.

Based on the DKI Jakarta BPBD Emergency Operation Center report, the flood affected areas on 26/4/2019 consisted of 32 flood points, namely in the South Jakarta area precisely in RW 01, 02, 011 Ex. Pengadegan, RW 01, 03, 07 in Ex. Rawa Jati, RW 01 in Kel. Cikoko, and RW 010 in Kel. Kebon Baru, with an average flood height of 10-250 cm. Whereas for East Jakarta Region precisely in RW 01, 02, 03, 05, 08, 012 Kel. Cawang, RW 01, 02, 04, 05 Ex. Balekambang, RW 05, 06, 07, 015, 016 Ex. Cililitan, RW 04 to RW 08 Kel. Camp. Malay and RW 06,07,011,014 Ex. Bidara Cina, with an average flood height of 10-250 cm.

Floods caused 2 fatalities, Imas (48, P) who died as a result of an accident dragged down by the Ciliwung river in Kel. Kebon Baru South Jakarta and Suyanto (70, L) died of a heart attack in Kel. Bidara Cina East Jakarta.

285 families and 2258 refugees due to flooding on April 26, 2019. At present the refugee sites are in 12 locations consisting of 2 location points in South Jakarta and 10 locations in East Jakarta.

Flood handling efforts have been carried out since last night when there was an increase in Standby 1. DKI Jakarta BPBD through UPT. The Center for Disaster Data and Information provides early warning to the people who are on the banks of the Ciliwung River via SMS Blast when the Katulampa Dam and Depok Water Gate have increased their alert status to Standby 1. The BPBD picket team conducts assessment and coordination with affected villages.

Evacuation of affected residents was carried out by BPBD, Gulkarmat Service, Health Office, Forest Service, National Basar, PMI, officers from the Village Elementary School, Satpol PP, PPSU, Babinsa, and the community. Pumps that have been prepared by the SDA Service are 133 mobile pump units and 465 stationary pump units spread over 164 locations.

The SDA Office through the Subdistrict SDA Subdistrict carried out the handling of floods at the site by suctioning using pumps and cleaning the water ropes assisted by the PPSU Kelurahan and the Department of Environment carrying out the transportation of garbage due to flooding.

The Provincial Social Service and the Social Service Office of South Jakarta and East Jakarta sent logistical assistance, ready-to-eat food, and set up refugee tents and public kitchens for refugees due to the flood disaster.

PT. PLN Persero assists in the process of suppressing electricity in areas affected by floods. Emergency handling is still being carried out by BPBD and other officials.
