Gorontalo Update: Monday, August 3, 2020, at 13.30 WIB Chronological: • Due to rain with high intensity and the overflow of the Bone and Bolango rivers which took place on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at 01.00 WITA Location: Gorontalo City Kec. Hulonthalangi Kec. Eastern City Kec. Dumbo Kingdom Kec. Western City Kec. South City Fatalities : • 9,573 souls are displaced with the following details: - Kec. Eastern City 2,446 Souls - Kec. Dumbo Raya 4,694 Souls - Kec. Hulonthalangi 1,003 souls - Kec. Western City 1,304 Souls - Kec. South City 126 Soul Material Losses: • 594 affected housing units • 20-40 cm TMA Effort : • Gorontalo Governor and Gorontalo Mayor have reviewed the scene • The Mayor of Gorontalo has set a second stage of Emergency Response Status for 14 days from August 1 to 14, 2020 • The Gorontalo City BPBD TRC conducted a rapid assessment, coordinated with relevant agencies and together with a joint team to evacuate victims. • Gorontalo City BPBD has opened a refugee tent and together with the Social Service Opens a Public Kitchen. • Gorontalo City BPBD coordinates with the Public Works Agency regarding the deployment of heavy equipment Cutting Edge: • Today, Monday, August 3, 2020, at 13.30 WIB, the weather was clear and the flood was gradually receding • Refugees still survive in the evacuation site because the house is still submerged in mud • The Joint Team and the community are currently working together to clean up mud due to flooding Source: Mr. Abu Bakar Luwiti Plt.
