Description

Heavy rain in western Java since 30 April has caused widespread floods, resulting in casualties and damage. The Indonesian National Board for Disaster Management (BNPB) reports further flooding in Cilegon City (Banten Province). As of Monday, Monday, May 4, 2020 Pkl. 20.10 WIB More than 500 households were evacuated to the Cilegon City arts and culture building. Flooding event occurred due to rain with high intensity for 3 hours. TRC BPBD Cilegon City together with TNI - Polri and SAR are currently evacuating residents affected by flooding. TRC BPBD Prov. Banten has arrived in Cilegon to help evacuate residents in the metro housing complex. Water in the sub-district of Grogol has receded. Water in the metro housing complex of Jombang sub-district is still around 100 cm (the weather is currently raining at moderate intensity). Source: Pusdalops BPBD Cilegon City
