Indonesia, Flooding in Bandung Regency

BANDUNG - Floods soaked at least six districts in Bandung Regency, West Java, Tuesday (18/2). According to a report from the Bandung Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), the flooding was caused by high rainfall factors in the City of Bandung and Bandung District.
The six districts include Baleendah District, Dayeuhkolot District, Bojongsoang District, Rancaengkek District, Ciparay District and Solokan Jeruk District.
Data collected temporarily, material losses caused by flooding in the Dayeuhkolot Subdistrict included 4,745 submerged houses, 8 places of worship and 2 Schools with high water levels ranging from 10-120 centimeters in Dayeuhkolot Village, Citeurep Village and Pesawahan Village. While the number of affected residents reached 6,747 households / 23,077 people and as many as 72 families / 207 have sought refuge in safe areas.
Then Baleendah District, at least 10,800 houses, 67 places of worship and 45 schools were flooded with water levels ranging from 20-170 centimeters in Andil and Baleendah. 21,402 HHs / 71,154 people were affected, 69 HHs / 200 people were displaced.
Furthermore, Bojongsoang Subdistrict, the affected areas included three, each of Bojongsoang Village, Bojongsari Village and Tegaluar Village with 450 units submerged with a water level of 10-90 centimeters. For residents affected as many as 7,045 families / 20,850 people and 2 families / 12 people have been displaced.
Until now the Bandung Regency BPBD together with the West Java Province BPBD and other joint teams continue to monitor water levels, periodic assessments and help evacuate and send logistics.
