BNPB reported that floods struck four administrative areas in Bali Province, namely Jembrana, Gianyar, Tabanan, Klungkung Regencies, and Denpasar City.
According to BNPB, the flooding in Bali has been occurring since Tuesday night (9 September), following heavy rainfall that began around 11:15 p.m. local time.
In Jembrana Regency, floods inundated several areas. BNPB also recorded two fatalities caused by the floods in Jembrana.
“Based on preliminary data received by BNPB on Wednesday (10 September) at 11:30 a.m. local time, two residents have died and 103 households (200 people) have been affected in Jembrana Regency
BNPB further noted that 85 residents have been displaced in Jembrana Regency, sheltering in several locations, including Yeh Kuning Village Hall (10 people), Yeh Kuning Banjar Hall (10 people), Assidiqie Mosque (40 people), and Darul Mustofa Mosque (25 people).
Meanwhile, in Klungkung Regency, 104 households comprising 423 people were affected by the flooding. Data collection is still ongoing for other affected areas across Bali.
BNPB also reported that four districts in Denpasar City were inundated: East Denpasar, North Denpasar, South Denpasar, and West Denpasar.
In Jembrana Regency, flooding hit Jembrana District. Other affected areas include Sukawati District in Gianyar Regency, Kediri District in Tabanan Regency, and Dawan District in Klungkung Regency.
