Description
Flooding has submerged approximately 682 houses across eight villages and two districts in Balangan Regency, South Kalimantan. Additionally, 15 hectares of farmland, a palm oil plantation with 500 saplings, a poultry farm with around 200 chickens, fruit orchards, government buildings, schools, public facilities, and a 300-meter stretch of road have also been affected.
Currently, the floodwaters have begun to recede. However, some residential yards and several road sections remain inundated. Despite this, there is still a potential risk of flooding recurring if heavy rainfall continues in the upstream areas for an extended period.
