Indonesia, Flooding in Aceh Pidie and Aceh Barat Daya (Aceh)

From the Province of Aceh, the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Pidie Jaya Regency reported that 7 villages in 4 sub-districts were affected by floods on Wednesday (26/2) at 20:45 WIB. A total of 21 houses were affected, and 5 families evacuated to the homes of safe relatives. In addition to flooding houses, the water also inundated 20 hectares of residents' rice fields. As of this report, officials are still collecting data due to the extensive affected area.

Also from Aceh, the BPBD of Southwest Aceh Regency reported a flood incident in their area on Wednesday (26/2) at 16:00 WIB. Heavy rains caused flooding in 2 villages, namely Alue Manggota Village in Blangpidie Sub-district, and Alue Rambut Village in Jeumpa Sub-district. Preliminary reports recorded 15 families and 1 hectare of rice fields affected. The latest condition is that the water has not receded, while the Rapid Response Team (TRC) is still collecting data at the flood-affected locations
