Indonesia, Flooding and Landslide in Kerinci (Jambi)

➢ Chronology: Triggered by high intensity rain causing the Batang Merao River to overflow on Saturday, December 30 2023 at 23:30 WIB

➢ Location:
Rupit District
 Noman Village
 New Noman Village
 Batu Gajah Village
 Batu Gajah Baru Village
 Old Maur Village
 New Maur Village

➢ Casualties:  ±2,639 families / 5,134 people affected

➢ Material Losses:
 1 bridge unit (heavily damaged)
 5 school facility units was submerged
 1 health facility unit was submerged
 5 housing units (heavily damaged)
 2 house units (moderately damaged)
 9 housing units (lightly damaged)
 1,633 housing units were submerged
 ±100.5 Ha of submerged land
 TMA reaches ±70 cm

➢ Efforts:  BPBD Kab. Kerinci conducted a rapid assessment with related agencies  BPBD Kab. Kerinci evacuated residents using rubber boats

➢ Current Conditions:  Floods have not subsided
