Description
Flood affected Central Java Province. From 22 December 2014 to 4 Jan 2015, flooding occurred in Cilacap, Kebumen, Pekalongan, Tegal, Demak, Kudus and Jepara District. IMPACT: - In Cilacap, 119 families/834 people were displaced. Over 4000 houses amd 508 ha f crops were submerged. - In Kebumen, flood has caused 1 death and 2 injured. Over 76 families were affected. - In Pekalongan, about 2,500 houses were inundated. - 500 houses were submerged in Demak. - 200 houses and 5 ha of crops were submerged in Kudus. - In Jepara, flood submerged 130 houses. RESPONSE: - Local government has provided assistance by setting up evacuation centre, distributing relief items and evacuating the affected people.
