Description
National Disaster Management Authority (BNPB) and Health Crisis Center, Ministry of Health, reported serious flooding in Taliabu Archipelagic Regency on 11 July 2018, around 0315 hrs local time. It was caused by heavy rainfall in North Sumatra Province throughout the week and caused Ratahaya, Air Kilong and Air Bobong rivers to overflow with flood depth around 50-100 cm. Three villages in West Taliabu District of the regency were inundated. In total, 180 families / 540 people were affected. There were no casualties reported due to this incident.
