Indonesia, Flood in Sindenreng Rappang Regency

Health Crisis Center of Ministry of Health reported serious flooding in Sindenreng Rappang Regency, South Sulawesi Province on 10 July 2018. The flood approximately started at around 1400 hrs local time, due to high intensity of rain during the previous days. It inundated areas in five districts, i.e. Maritengngae, Panca Lautan Tellu Limpoe and Watang Sidenreng, with the following impact data: 1) Tellu Limpoe District, 113 families affected. 400 hectare of paddy fields destroyed. 2) Panca Lautang District, 354 families affected as their houses inundated. 3) Wattang Sidenreng, 147 families affected as their houses inundated. The average water height was around 2-4 meters. In addition, 50 people were became permanently displaced. Sindenreng Rappang local government agencies have been on the ground and provided emergency foods and relief items.
